Mill Avenue Bridge

Started this one a couple of months ago and threw it aside in the studio. Finally had a bit of time after the dust settled at the show to give it another run. I was a little unsure of the sky at first, but thought it provided a resting spot for the eye. The water is so busy that it seemed to call for a subdued sky.

It's magnificent!

There's that interesting, subtle difference between painting and photograph. A particular shift in the definition of sharps and softs.

I'm impressed. I see this bridge on a weekly basis and it's really fun to see someone making it into an art project.

Thanks Robin. Had a bit of fun not getting it too finished.

Nice composition Les. I like the reflects in the water too.
